Grow up? My son asked me “Mum, what did you want to be when you grew up?” And I replied “a writer, an actress, a lawyer, a private detective, a journalist, a naturopath, a Mother, a ...” and he stopped me “no I mean the one thing!!”

I smiled “well son, I don’t think we ever ‘grow up’ we just keep growing”. He looked confused. I continued “we all have gifts, and things we LOVE to do. Some of those things may become a job if you decide to practice and grow your roots deep into it, and some of them become Hobbies. But we change as we grow as well, so where we start may not be where we finish. At the end of the day you decide where you want to grow into, but growing up isn’t an end point. We’re always growing.”

He smiled, and I whispered, “and sometimes it’s good to forget growing up and just play”. Hence the black and white child organised fashion show 😂

Life lesson: growth is life.
